Malayalees in Chennai
Now while talking about the topic I am specific about which malayalees I am talking. I am talking about the malayalee actors and actresses who have houses in chennai. Most of the people in malayalam film industry have a house in chennai. You can see many of them too going here and there. I feel the one malayalee actor I have seen the most is Jairam who has been seen at many places. Now he is also a star in the tamil pictures same as he is a star in malayalam pictures one can see him at malayalee functions (not marriages) and at theatres having malayalam films. I saw him twice this way now what I was curious about was where he lives and out of my curiosity the only thing I learnt was that Jairam’s car number is TN 10-H-5200 . So next time when you are in chennai and if you see a car with this number plate remember its a star’s car.
Thuruppugulan(Malayalam) Review
The movie starts with a scene of a typical malayalee “thatukada†(tea stall), in the tea stall innocent is making tea and then he sees someone selling the land on which his tea stall is to someone else. He says he has no objection as he is selling the land to a very good guy who also happens to be a great friend of his. We see how “kuchumon†(that is the name of mammootty the hero of the film) hits a local rowdy and then how his Dad sends him to Kozhikode so he odes not end up in any trouble. After reaching to Kozhikode he tries his luck on cards and bets on jack and wins triple Jack (hence the name Thuruppugulan). The movie is only comedy-action without much focusing on story. But we had to expect this from mammootty after his performance in Rajamanickyam which proved out to be successful. Mammootty had been branded the name of serious-action hero which he wants to change desperately hence these films. These films are total entertainers but you could have never expected such films in Malayalam cinema which gives less importance to story and more to comedy but this has been the trend recently. The movie stars many known faces like innocent, harishri Ashokan and the other main thing about the film was Sneha the tamil heroine. First it was Malayalam heroines to Tamil and now its Tamil heroines to Malayalam. The character that mammootty plays is of an young guy who is child-like he wants to be a great bharatnatyam dancer and whose habits are also child-like but when it comes to fights he is much ahead of everyone in that. We see many twist and turns in the film which all result to an obvious climax. I can’t say the movie is a must watch but if you like comedies which are nothing but comedies then you can surely like this movie.

Insight to Kerala Politics
I am well aware of my origins and I felt to blog this post. I am a malayalee and I am proud of that. But many people don’t know some things about Kerala. Everyone thinks that Kerala is very beautiful with its great scenic terrains and a place were there is highest literacy in India (I guess Mizoram has highest literacy rate now). But while everyone wishes that if only their state could also have high literacy rate and while people praise Kerala for the same, I say there is a downfall to that. Kerala has a negative side too. Kerala Politics according to me is the most dreaded politics you can ever witness. Though politics is a part and parcel of every state in India, somehow it has dug deep into the lives of a normal Keralite. Whenever someone leaves a house he has to check the newspaper for any strikes or bandhs which might have been announced by some political party or any trade unions. Some people might say that this is not the case, but recently my sister who had to attend her BBA exam was nearly going to miss it because of one of such bandhs. Think about the student’s mentality when he or she goes to write and exam in such a condition. Most of the political leaders are too inconsiderate. Most of the political parties use College students as their weapon. You might say that happens in all the states and maybe even in different countries, but the truth is its widespread and more gruesome in Kerala. Recently there had been great drama on one of the leaders of CPI (M) {Communist Party of India} party being thrown out and being taken in again. Though every state sees such dramas it’s too often in Kerala. Why? If that is the question that comes to your mind I say maybe that the population is too much educated or the population has no choice but to bear all the difficulties and keep quiet. Why is that? Why can’t we rise to this issue why does everyone have to bear this? I though don’t live in Kerala but whenever I go to Kerala I feel like even if I go will I be able to go around the place, with the amount of tensions and amount strikes there. But still I like my birthplace and I thought it would be nice for people to know about it. If you are a Keralite and reading this you may add to my post by commenting or criticize my post by commenting.
PS: In no way do I mean any harm to anyone but anyone reading this is hurt I apologize for it.
