After I had seen the last Harry Potter movie trailers I was pretty much sure I would not like it because as a book fan they removed a lot of things from it. Now, when the new movie is coming I had my own apprehensions as I didn’t really like the book. The book was just the build up for the book after it, so it made the reading a little boring compared to the other books where I was gripped the whole time.

I have been seeing HP-OOP trailer all over the place and I must say that I liked it very much. I guess they have used only the best part out of the whole book and that made it eeasy for them to compress the whole thing into one movie. The effects of the movie seems to be getting better and better which should be happening considering the improvement animation technology. I guess they might be probably changing small parts of the story here and there to make it easy to tell.

It seems it will release here on 13th July too which is quite good considering that I can watch it in theatres as I have my holidays going on. I am really excited about the movie and I feel like they should put the whole unedited movie into the DVD like it was done with the Lord of The Rings where the movies on DVD were nearly of 4 and a half hours.

I had always thought why people bashed Harry Potter for being a rip off of Lord of The Rings and being inferior to it. So, I thought why not check Lord Of The Rings out and see why it’s better. After I saw it I must say the Films are visually lot more pleasing than Harry Potter movies but what I realised after watching the movie was that, HP and LOTR are totally different from each other. The style the work mostly like a different genre in Fantasy. I felt that Inheritance Trilogy was more similar to LOTR. LOTR is definitely something that totally rocks but I must say that HP is different from LOTR and though being a fan it is much more less appealing than LOTR.

Oh lets leave all that and get to what I wanted to post. Well, there has been lots of news about comics-to-films. The one that will soon hit theatres will be Fantastic Four 2,Transformers and Spiderman 3. The ones that are in talks are Superman 2, Batman:The Dark Knight, Shazzam(Yes, there are plans for the film),Justice League of America(without Brandon Routh I heard but may have Christian Bale), Wolverine, Magneto and some more here and there. Tamilnadu Govt bans the screening of Da Vinci Code which was slated to release on June 2nd.

Da Vinci Code is a work of fiction; still, many people take it upon themselves to make the work a religious controversy. Everyone has a right to express himself or herself in the free world. Movie and entertainment are forms of art. These forms of art should not be mixed with religious sentiments as they are meant to entertain the audience and not to disrupt the peace and harmony. Still we can see so many cases where people have linked the movie with their religious sentiments. The book itself was banned in many countries. The book is written by Dan Brown and books are supposed to be entertaining. Most books are works of fiction still people have protested against the book.

Not screening the film in many parts of the country leads to other problems such as piracy. As the film is not screened people tend to get the pirated copies of the movie and watch the film. As the film has created, no actually people have created controversies over the film so it makes the film more worthwhile to watch. The ban has done nothing but increase the interest of the people in the movie and this has given rise to piracy which is one of the problems faced by the film-makers nowadays.

We have seen such controversies in Indian cinemas also which was related to politics and regionalism.

Yes the much awaited movie of this year has come under lots of troubles in Gujarat because of recent remarks of Aamir Khan against Modi Goverment and Gujarat. I guess this can be said as the first time that the public and the theatres have problems with the actor and not the film. The multiplexes association of Gujarat has taken actions not to screen the movie in gujarat multiplexes fearing the protests from people and also helping the people with the protests. The loss will be huge with the amount of numbers of multiplexes which have srung up in gujarat as of recently even though the single theatre owners will screen it but the multiplexes charge high rates which is very good for the revenue of the film. People dont realise the loss the producers will face if this continues. But the people have all right to do whatever they want we live in a free country and its obvious people can exercise theuir free will. Its also being said that people want the film to be banned in the state and have approached the CM for this only time will tell if this demand is accepted

I know the movie is old but it was released here some days ago and I went to see it on the meet.

The movie is one of those English movies which makes you think of what we do. Racial discrimination is something common here too and so it is in America and some European countries. The movie starts with how a one lady hits the car of another lady who is a cop and they start fighting and the cop’s colleague goes to investigate something with fellow officers nearby and then we go into a flashback. The stories inside stories tell you about all the different races in America other than white and how they suffer racial discrimination. Stories of different people are intervened into each other. The stories tend to get confusing in short while but then it’s the theme of the story and its supposed to be like that. The film has a district attorney worried of loosing his black votes and a wife who is paranoid about anyone other than white. There is a Persian scared about his shop. There is a lock repairer scared of people shooting here and there. There are two cons one who is good at heart and another one who considers every gesture from a white guy is a show of racial discrimination. There is a black cop looking for his brother and not caring about his mother and a white cop who is too harsh with blacks and has a Dad with problems of his own. The cop has a partner who has no grudge against blacks and hates his partner. They all end up doing different things. The racialist cop ends up saving a black women he molested and his partner ends up killing a black just because he thought he was about to shoot him. The stories are of all different people whose stories coincide with each other. It’s a must watch movie. I would love to give it 9.5/10 which I say is the highest I will ever give to a English movie.
