No more Hutch Pugs
The biggest news surrounding Indian Telecom Industry is the acquisition of Hutch. But not yet, Hutch hasn’t been sold to anyone. Hutch is taking in bids for selling the company.
Hutchison Essar Limited also known as Hutch will soon be taken over by a bigger Telecom company. Ever since the news about the bidding started only three companies have come in news who definitely will bid for it.
The first one to bid for Hutch is our very own Reliance Communications which is under Anil Ambani. They were the first to announce that they were going to bid for acquiring Hutch. Everyone is fully aware of the current situation of Reliance but if they are able to make this deal into a reality they will become most probably the 2nd or even the number 1 Telecom company in India with hight amount of user base. I personally don’t want this to happen, I don’t think Reliance will be able satisfy all the custmors(as if it is satisfying anyone now).
The second to bid is Vodafone. Vodafone was looking for a chance to enter Indian market and this would be the best way to do it by getting one of the best Telecom companies of India. There is not much to say about them but even if they do not get Hutch they will definitely get into the Indian Telecom Market.
The third and the most amusing one is Essar. Essar is actually the current partner of Hutchison in India, but it’s clear that they want the whole Hutch to their name. Though the news is not exactly accurate but most probably they are going to bid for the acquisition of Hutch.
I would definitely want to see who among these wins and my best bet would vodafone but still it’s Hutch’s choice. And yeah most probably we won’t see the pug any more so that is kind of sad.

I am interested in the scene also, as I have invested some of good monies in Rel. Comm.
I wonder if Reliance would bid for the stake as , Reliance won’t be having such huge fund (as 14 billion USD is floor price) the take over, unless it has external financial aid, mostly a foreign institute.
Most probably Vodafone or Verizone would get the stake.

Vodafone already is in India as any brandname yet? It’ll be good to get a proper global mobile network company here, so we can get additional features

Hmm.. JV from what I hear Reliance is more than capable to do this deal and if it gets this deal there are speculations of huge spikes in the share market price for its shares.

Let’s see who gets the stake. Main concern is that the deal should not create more of monopolising for which the consumers will suffer, as in case of Vodafone , who has already 10% share in Bharti Airtel.
Mannar,I suggest you to purchaser 100-200 shares of Rel. Comm. which gives very good return, and will do more than to cover the bills
As a being share holder, I wish Rcomm gets the stake.

But if you are talking about monopolising then think about Reliance as if it gets this deal it automatically becomes the first or the second biggest Telecom Company in India.

Yeah well it seems Vodafone has won it pretty much. I am happy that Reliance didn’t win it.
