The year 2006 As It Was

Posted by karthiksn

Well I was thinking about all the things that had happened in the year 2006 and out of all this the only thing I could remember perfectly is the take-over of Youtube by Google and also the release of all the Next Generation Console.

I was thinking about Youtube because it’s a place where one runs to watch all the latest trailers and teasers that are launched for the movies and games. I was thinking that Google would introduce size limits to people’s accounts and stuff and make something like a premium account for the paid users but that never happened. I definitely don’t rule out the possibility that it won’t ever happen but still it’s Google and anything is possible.

Coming to all those Next-Gen consoles that have been buzzing whole of the year of 2006. First was the release of Nintendo Wii then came the XBOX 360 and last was the PlayStation 3. There was supposed to be a tough competition between all these consoles but with the late entrance of our beloved PS3 all the speculations vanished, many of Sony’s dreams were shattered. Demand for Wii and 360 are high compared to that of PS3. PS3 was also proved to be not that great in terms of rendering of these next-generation games compared to 360. Microsoft already has plans for releasing a version 2 model for their console with some changes that
apparently will lower their price but already considering that their consoles are too cheap in India (I mean relatively), we won’t see a fall in price here for the version 2.

All the consoles are a beauty:

Now we are definitely waiting this year only for one thing and that is the release of looong awaited Windows Vista. God(Other than Microsoft) knows what all it has in store for us.

Vista
