Well, as of recently I have been attracted to various kinds of cartoons and stuff but one of the things I have started liking the most are Animes. These are very similar to cartoons, the only difference I see is great storyline and awesome character designs. Wikipedia says:
Anime (アニメ, Anime?) (IPA pronunciation: [É‘nime] in Japanese, but typically [ˈænɪˌme(ɪ)] or [ˈænəˌme(ɪ)] in English) is an abbreviation of the word “animation”. Outside Japan, the term most popularly refers to animation originating in Japan.
While some anime is entirely hand-drawn, computer assisted animation techniques are, in recent years, quite common. Storylines are typically fictional; examples of anime representing most major genres of fiction. Anime is broadcast on television, distributed on media such as DVD and VHS, and included in computer and video games. Additionally, some are produced as full length motion pictures. Anime is often influenced by Japanese comics known as manga. Some anime storylines have been adapted into live action films and television series.
Though this doesn’t exactly explain what it is, putting in it simpler terms, it’s a cartoon aimed at young and adult audience and has a powerful storyline. I have been watching few anime shows and I do believe that animes are far better than the regular cartoons we see(definitely Simpsons isn’t a regular cartoon either).
The one I liked most has been Full Metal Alchemist, as it had a great storyline. I thought of writing about it as it came in my mind randomly have been thinking to put something tech stuff but my brain doesn’t get the spark required for it. Anyways till next time……….

My very good friend Chrono had posted nice stuff on geeks some months back. I had thought about it then but not till recently someone sparked it again in my mind. I was thinking what is the difference between a nerd and a geek and who defines the difference. I have always thought what am I a geek or a nerd, never got an answer to that question though. Simply because maybe I really don’t know if I am a geek or nerd material. Anyways apart from that I always believed there is a great difference between a geek and a nerd. Some say it doesn’t matter but to me everything matters.
Lets take a look at what Geeks are. Well, according to my opinion any person who has some special interest in something and learns things about it and loves to question even its basics to understand it fully is a geek. For a good example, a computer geek. I believe some one who has special interest in computers or any special part in computer and dares to pursue to understand what really it is and why it is. They are totaly passionate to what they are doing and even dare to ask question about the basics so that they learn more. They whole heartedly believe in what they are doing. I believe that this is what a Geek is and what he does.
A nerd, well many people proclaim to be “Computer Nerds”, I am sure more than half of them even don’t know what is the definition of Nerds. We see in movies that people wearing spectacles and being different are nerds but really that is no where being a nerd. Nerds, according to me are different from Geeks in many aspects. Firstly lack of questioning, that means accepting given facts. They accept facts that have been given to them without a question. Understanding is not preliminary to them, just learning it or mugging it up is important. Never asking what they really don’t know, trying to hide that aspect always. But these people know everything about something without any understanding. I never say that a guy wearing spectacles or looking different is a nerd. Nerds lack a quality of making the world move around them, I mean they really never have lots of acquaintances. But one thing the people they know are truest of friends. This makes a nerds unique, bookish knowledge makes nerds unique.
Geeks have lots of acquaintances but out of them maybe one or two true friends because they love to make the world spin around them. Nerds and Geeks though similar have many differences. Both are same but still so varied. It really feels good when you have them as good friends because they normally won’t back bite you for anything else because both know how to stay true.
P.S: Note this are my ideas and thinking, I believe many people might have different ideas and I respect all ideas and would love to see them in comments here but please no flamings.
Another P.S: Yeah this note is for people who self proclaim they are geek or nerd without much thought on what they are so I believe they can learn from this post and any future comments what really a Geek or Nerd is.
Random Thoughts: Well, after a mind twisting post this post comes consecutively within an hour or so, I think I went overboard with philosophy in last and this post.

I have been thinking for quite sometime to carry out a research to know about the most different(not very but still) and emotionally vivid creatures. Lets just call them category “F”. First things first, whenever you want to understand them you never can but you still try harder and harder, till you cry.We might feel sometime we understood them but we are always wrong. They lash out on us for no reason and suddenly talk to us again as nothing happened.I had thought is it just me or does everyone has that problem. I looked around to see the same thing everywhere, but no one can really tell us much about “F”, I thought maybe youngsters are too inexperienced, to know but even the adults had their own doubts. I have been thinking deeply are they, all the world, that all people like me go mad for them. I think we do have other work to do, but still they intrigue me. They lie for absolutely no reason and always tell wrong age(in sense younger to their real age). I had always heard we make conclusions even before thinking about the matter but its seems “F”’s are no better than us. I know that writing about them, will atleast take my whole life with less or no answers with me. I stop this here with no conclusion because I don’t really there is any for the matter.
Just to clear who didn’t get what “F” meant was just Female.

Those two words are my story once I shifted from my old and boring PC to this spruced up upgraded CPU. I guess everyone read my upgrading news. Well, everything was great until I started to work on Ubuntu again. I was looking forward to using XGL and have fun with it but unfortunately my motherboard had some other plans. I have nforce drivers for my in-built ethernet card and graphics card but they are as good as useless because I simply can’t install them in my computer because of damned reasons. I have great hopes for Suse as I am gonna try that next if that doesn’t, I may have to wait till there is some proper solution to my problem other than compiling my own kernel.
