Happy Onam
Now, I will have to explain I guess and I am bad at explaining so I will let wiki handle it. Here is the link which will tell you what I am talking about. Here is a bit from wiki to tell you about it in brief:
Onam (Malayalam: ഓണം) is an annual harvest festival, celebrated mainly in the Indian state of Kerala. It is the foremost festival among the cultural repertoire of Malayalees, and falls during the month of Chingam (August-September as per the Gregorian calendar), the first month of the Malayalam calendar and lasts for ten days. Though it is essentially a harvest festival of Malayalees, mythologically it is linked to Malayalee-Hindu folktales. Like many other religious festivals in India, Onam is celebrated by people across all castes and faiths.
I am a Malayalee(person from Kerala) so I was not going to miss posting this. Well, I wanted to wish everyone Happy Onam. And I love this one festival as its’s not limited to any religion.
