I don’t know if the Indian soap opera queen knows Malayalam or not but I am very sure she wants to take over the soap opera space in India. You might know she has many Saas-Bahu shows and non-Saas Bahu shows to her credit. She has atleast one show in every hindi channel. Most of her shows have been on top of TRPs for some time. She has tasted awesome success in her young age (though failed miserably on silver screen productions). It’s natural for her to try out new ventures. This is an old news but worth mentioning she has a show in a Malayalam channel named Surya which is a moderate hit I believe (I am not very sure). The shows name is Kavyanjali but it has no resemblance to her hindi show with same name. This show is about two sisters married to same family and how one becomes bad and other one good then etc etc (usual Ekta Kapoor story including double roles). All her shows are women centric and so is this and so are all the soap operas. They cry after every five seconds and the audiences cry with them. So I guess they should rename it to cry operas than soap operas here. I am not one of the millions who watch her show as I guess I am too insensitive to understand it but its liked by many people and I cant say they are wrong because they like it. Its everyone’s individual choice but yeah it has one problem you get the dinner too late because of these shows which is what I hate.

That’s what you find in the stores these days. Once I bought a Parachute Coconut Oil from a local supermarket which ended up being fake and I went to return it to them. How did I know it was a fake? It’s quite simple to identify, first of all it will smell differently (Yeah I have a very strong nose) then mostly in cases of coconut oil the fake oil looks a bit dirtish (new word!) yellow. These fakes are very cheap and they increase the profit margin of the wholesaler who switches the original and gives this to the retailers. It’s not very common in supermarkets but is very common in the general store next to your house (I guess you got what I meant). I once read in Outlook I believe that most of the well known products have fake counterparts and some even cheat by the name of the product like you go to buy Vicks (a balm used when having cold) and you get the same packaging and stuff but with name Nicks or something like that. When you ask the shop-keeper he replies that they are the same and most of the people believe it. Mostly these fake products are adulterated or have wrong and untested things which may end up giving you some or the other disease. In some cases the sachets of shampoos are changed with same names but with different contents which may even be harmful to you hairs. This is the most common way some people fake. So next time you buy anything check if its original or not or atleast check the expiry date of the product.

The topic might have ringed bell in most of the Indian ears as this was one of the most famous shows of its time. It was the most humorous show there has been in the Indian history of shows and serials. It spun many new shows based on joint family humor some of these shows are hits now but this was the one that started it all. The show was really fun to watch with the characters having different kinds of problems and making it a perfect laugh riot. I have to say acting of Shekhar Suman was awesome and his comic timing with actress who played his wife was great (I forgot her name. bad me). The show was produced by Jaya Bachan if I am right. The show came to an end after some episodes were completed after their U.S Trip. They ended it with showing old episodes with Shekhar Suman talking about the experiences he had on the sets. It featured then unknown and now famous T.V actors like Komolika of Kasauti Zindagi Ki fame acted as the girlfriend of a character. It even had the first Mihir of Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi as Chachu to kids. He was a late entrant though there were more people including Farida Jalal and Liliput. Did you know Liliput wrote the scipt of the Dekh Bhai Dekh? The show was his concept. He also acted as normally the third guy or the guy who comes from outside and he was fun to watch. The show was great only if it were to be revived I would love it if they kept the elements intact because the mostly screw up revived shows.

Sorry guys for going out without a formal notice but I see there is no big probs here and everything went smooth. I am back but the problem is I am stuck with my lame special classes and also I am capped(crossed my download upload limit), so its hard to come online during the day. I am a bit shaken with last months broadband bill and would not want to get thrashed for another month. I am strongly feeling to shift to Airtel. I have lots of posts at hand but may not be able to post them in coming days but will try my best to post them as soon as possible. The week was fun though i was totaly bored as none of my cousins were there at my native place. So a formal announcement I am back to bore all you guys out there. And yeah sorry I had forgot to post that I was going away.

No, I am not talking about any cricket, baseball, hockey or football players. I mean my favourite media players. And for that I got two best players on my PC to compensate with my low system resources. One is Foobar2000 and another one is VLC Player. Both are specific and have their own purposes.
Foobar2000
Foobar2000 is for only music and nothing else. The best thing is that it supports most of the music formats. It’s very easy to use and very low on system resources. The fun with is that you can work even on photoshop without the song skipping. This was the main reason I switched to it. I first came to know about it some 8 months back on the oobertech.net forum where people were showing how they moded their foobar2000. It was then out for sheer that I downloaded it and followed the method how other’s were modding their foobar2000. Soon I realized it was simply the best music player out there. The best part is its playlist and you can make many playlist according to your wants and if you mod it properly
its easy to use too. It’s a geek’s pleasure to work on it, modding it, putting more and more of the features made by other guys. You can work on till you fall. These reasons make it the best music player other than the awesome sound quality and how everything is integrated into one thing rather than being split like winamp (but I used to like winamp). Here is how I have modded my own foobar2000.

This is one is with Fresco VS on system and my own fresco play buttons. Yeah! You can make your own play pause buttons and all, its the best thing for any photoshop loveing geek.

This one is my current setup with my own buttons named the buttons pure grey. The VS is Sirius with white sub style. And I was in hospital after the songs were over due to acute tension and fear of songs created by the song which was playing at the time of screenshot
VLC Player
Well I guess this player does not require any introductions as this is already famous now but I would love to point out its best qualities. First of all what I liked is how it’s low on resources. I can’t claim it to be the lowest on resources but with the amount of features it has I am amazed after having so many qualities it’s so small. Man the guys who make VLC have a done a very good work on it. It even can be skinned for all those skin freaks but I really don’t care about the skin of my media player as I don’t look at it, I will look at the film rather than looking at the skin. Controls are quite simple and getting used to it is very easy. You can play nearly all of the media files in it without installing any 3rd party codec pack including Divx and Xvid. I must say it’s very great. It feels like fun to use it. They also say that it has 200% volume increase and I believe them as it really does give nice amount of volume output. For a screenshot here is one with an Indian movie (I own the original DVD) on it.

The movie is Hulchul for all those who want to know from my favourite director Priyadarshan and also remake of the Malayalam film “Godfather if I remember correctly.
