One more in Google’s Grip
Okay as we know google is on a widespread mission to acquire anything it sees it has jumped up to acquire sketchUp. For everyone’s information SketchUp is an 3d doftware used to make models and other stuff. Now the most important thing is that the proggie was not free it is available for $495. These guys had developed a plugin for google earth and that is why i guess google liked them and took them into its hood. Actually Google has not only acquired the software but the @last company itself which means google has nice control over it. It seems there have been no big changes and they are still working as they were before the acquisition. This shows that Google has some hidden plans for sketchUp and its creators which we might see in future. Google always hides something while acquiring new things.

This never really created much intense discussion or anything.. I thin this was just a time-pass acquistion by google to continue being in the news!

I think they will provide it for people to use, so that they can make good use of google earth. I have used sketchup, it’s not that powerfull compared to 3d Max or Autocad, but it’s good enough for beginers….., since the company is still working fine, i think they will continue to sale it

They are still selling it and saurav thanks for the info about its uses I was not aware of it. It seems they might have taken it under for their Google Mars, It seems Google is very much interested in making these 3D Mapping software and want to use the SketchUp to sull use for this work. This is my conclusion not very sure if its right or not
