Confessions of a Firefox user
Okay I dont necessarily blog only Tech stuff sometime personal stuff is okay. So by the topic really I m gonna talk about something related to firefox but let me tell you something else also. Lastly I have been seeing that maximum of my crowd is from the topic i posted about rapidshare. Another one thing i noticed my blog has been getting dorect hits from I dont know where also some one searched Karthik Chronicles on net too. This makes me think do I have so many people coming and reading which gives me direct hit if they do read it everyday why dont they comment everyday i dunno why but also who has searched for Karthik Chronicles 2 times in past three months is someone thinking of buying a domain by that name?? I just dont know. Now lets go back to the topic.
Confessions of a Firefox user
I am very sure how came to use firefox browser. Actually if I m right Firefox was my entering to my Geek Life though i was a geek but only half with only bookish(that also not very much) knowledge. I had been reading about Firefox browser from Digit magazine and I saw many people using it by the look of it. I thought why Firefox and why not Internet Explorer. Though I always felt that IE was not the thing ,it just didnt give me what i wanted it to give me. Then when I came to chennai this year (i was transforming thats for sure; to a Geek) I asked my Dad to get me BSNL Broadband(yes I was specific I dunno why). Then when I got it i was totally unaware about intertnet and the want of the hour i thought why not i use Firefox rather than IE so thought of giving it a try digged into one of my copies of Digits magazine and found a CD with Firefox Installer, I installed it and fired it. But then waited for nearly 30-35 seconds for it to startup but after that it changed my way of browsing changed and everything became different. Though the first forum i joined was a GTA forum but in real terms it will be digit forums which I joined to become a full geek. I loaded the site and created an ID which I thought would be a nice one (Kato). Then on I became Kato realising the true power of computer and later true power of Internet. My story will go on but the confessions are of a Firefox user and not of a Internet or Computer Geek. Firefox changed lot of my thinking I installed some themes and checked out the top plugins to install(was not sure what they do but installed them). Later understood the real power of those extensions(yeah they were called extensions I came to know about that later). It was totaly Awesome. I learnt how to use the browser to its maximum. Meantime I made some friends who just increased my knowledge base(Firends:QwertyManiac a.k.a Harsh,The Incredible a.k.a Anindiya). Now I was completely a Firefox Fanboy. I loved following it blindly I just followed firefox. It was the one which has started my interest in linux(yes! as soon as I install a new hard disk I will also install linux maybe fedora core 4). I am still a faithful guy still faithful to the fox and I still belive its very cunning. But now i feel like i m being pulled to a darker side which I will reveal in one of my upcoming posts. For now this was the tale of a true Firefox fanboy.
Yeah last thing I got to say is that do expect a comprehensive Review from me on a piece of software I wont be revealing now but expect it soon…….

Hmm…Nice article actually. Interesting, usually I don’t like personal ones but this is great! How did you come across Kato, the nickname? Any japanese Anime character? My Fx story is quite similar too though I first read it online in some popular site and later even in our own local newspaper.

So i guess i should write a book heh.
Now about the name kato actually its a variasion to my pet name called by my sister.(No i m not gonna reveal the pet name). But recently i saw it somewhere that the show Green Hornet in which Bruce Lee had acted as the sidekick to Green Hornet was named Kato so i guess my Internet name has many reasons. Also there is a place in America named Kato (or was it Mankato)

Dude thats why i always say read before u say if u go through the post you might just find and know what the confession is I cant confees big time like other guys a small guy has smaller confessions

Hmm.. I dont want to flame/insult you here in your blog.
There is a lot to confess. The Title was misleading, IMO.
The first para is totally OT. The second para deals with how you came to use FX. I re-read the whole article, this is what I can conclude:
* You are a FX fanboy
* You blidly “love” FX
* You are “faithful” to FX
* And another thing you will post again and wont reveal now..
Maybe you don’t know the meaning of confession.
According to Merriam webster:
confess (verb) - to accept the truth or existence of (something) usually reluctantly
Did you get the meaning right? The the thing that you mentioned were not confession.
And how the hell is the leecher thing come into picture here?

Neither will i edit that comment nor will i delete it i want it to be in the same way it is why doesnt have a answer here though and i dont mind you saying anything about me on my blog all my wrongs and rights are supposed to be here. You showed the wrong
Oh and the leecher thing coz i remembered the title resembling to one of ur own posts

Ok, Kato..
See what you posted and title were misleading..
I expected something like:
* You use FX, but not satisfied with it
* Use FX because you sounded geeky and looked cool
* You say FX is your default browser but you use other browsers more than FX.
Anyways, leave it. No need to argue.

Seriously, if you want most people to read more than one line, and not dismiss what you have to say, you have to read what you write and spell things correctly. A little punctuation, like capital I’s will go a long way. Don’t even THINK about writing a book until you can prove you have some command of the language.

LOL! Guys, it’s his blog and he is entitled to have any title he likes. For example, I had this thing called Del.icio.us Insults, which should have been “Delicious Insults” but I did that so it would be more catchy! Well, okay the title doesn’t really have much relevance and it could have been chronicles of a firefox user!
IE7 is just implementing all the good features of other browsers…

I never had any problems with this title. It was misleading thats what I said. I never asked to edit the title. Re-re-re read the whole article and fish out any confessions (if any!) in the post.
I may also have a title like :”Kate Moss naked with Ashwin. Hot Photos!!” and have a lame ass post inside it.
What irked me was his Comment no. 7. I would have flammed more, but held back
