A New Work
Now my dad recently gave my mom a suggestion to put all her recipes on internet in form of a website or blog and that sparked an idea in my head why not try it. I had seen Rajis blog on cookery and i liked it quite a lot so the idea has sparked off to make a blog for cookery for my mother which will be maintained by me and if possible i will put it on a free host and also will try to buy a domain for it. My mother agrees on the idea and the blog will start the functions as soona as my exams get over (that wud be nearly by 15 march) until then i will start all te processes required. Now on personal note i have been grounded and have been told i cant use too much of computer so the i wont be updating blog regularly for some time that means till my exams get over. Anyways will update the blog if there is some major news or stuff. Last thing i m posting from a new extension for firefox named performancing(suggested by Raji) and its way cooler than flock so lets see if this post is published or not. Anyways new thought for my re entry after exams have been seeded right from now. Bye

Performancer definitely sucks. I seem to hate it plus it slows down my firefox like hell. The only thing good is Technorati tags but I dunno if they really have much effect.
And as for the above, that’s a really cool idea. You should think of a creative name for the blog. And if you have Paypal (if your parents do), better still buy it at Yahoo just $2.95/year. As for a free host, I will definitely recommend http://mihopa.com, but you need some forum posts before you get the hosting!

i was thinking of zeeblo and others too and i didnt feel that it slowed my firefox but it is very good for posting.
I guess i will buy domain from Deep as 365 Rs is not a big sum of amount for a month

Deep asks only 350, not 365. But that’s not really costly
Performance sucks really. I tried a week it was released, It sucks.

I just want to know one thing.. in the Referals, can you add google ads? If yes, do it and earn money to buy domain.

i dontthink so u can add it this as it is some javascript which cant be added as link in the referal though i will try it as u have said. aand for the price of domain i said a approx figure. as for performance i liked i dunno why no one else liked it

Free domains, the thing is good, but they place a google ad on the top, which wont matter to you.
They are smart. They spend 350 for your domain, and you do all the slogging and hard work and they earn money with adsense. The same thing why can’t you do? for 1350 bucks you get domain+paid hosting, stick ads, work hard (I know blogging is hard work) and you will earn money.
You can have just one domain+paid hosting account. like http://www.karticksn.com for you and http://www.kartick.com/cookery (or cusine) or cusine.kartick.com for your mom which you can manage. Ask you dad and think abt it. I think paid hosting is good in case you work hard (and smart) and willing to run the website for longer time.
And abt the Java script, how in earthc an you add the three things you have? Or it’s just a img with links?

They are just images with links also i about domain dad agreed to buy one also i wont buy for me obviously coz i had told the reason that until i get a good amount of readers i wont be buying domain and hosting for me. So most of my work is done for the cuisine blog is done only i need to edit the header image of my theme and get my self a domain

Yeah i have used perfomancing and it hasnt slowed my FF’s startup any extra as it takes normally 10 - 15 seconds to start but i like postin by going into the dashboard i will use it only when i m in hurry

Hmm.. get a free host (any of ur choice). A paid domain (I wud prefer a .in). WP 2.0. Basic HTML if u need a home page. Google Adsense plugin for WP. A brain and a keyboard for the blog.
